I don't usually get involved in the political posting, but I really liked this quote...

"To encourage a country with only rhetoric rather than sound and proven ideas that trust in the strength and courage of free people is not a promise of hope. It's a platitude."
~John McCain

That is a good quote.
I'm so discouraged by this year's election, I don't like ANY of the candidates.

I agree with eeeemommy, not too excited about the candidates this time around. And as for the word "Obamania" I think I heard it somewhere, but I wasn't directly quoting it if that makes sense. I doubt my sleep deprived mommy brain made it up, haha.

I'm guessing all four are "waiting children" which means they have some kinds of special needs. But usually the needs are small and insignificant. We have friends who are adopting a little girl from Korea and she is considered special needs because of a birth mark on her nose! They just found out about her and expect her here (via liason) in 2-6 months!

Sen. McCain should be smart enough to see that he condemns himself with this critique... one more platitude does not make a quality candidate.

I agree, Sen. McCain! Do you? Your words betray you.

(I still like you a lot though D. I would vote for you instead of him, that's for sure.)
